Summer, the season of plenty, is upon us. There is plenty of sunshine. Plenty of warmth. Most of all, plenty of things growing in the ground. So our palates should be getting excited. They have many more options for tasty fresh fruits and vegetables. To help you decide the best way to digest all these goodies, I browsed through to find a few simple summer classics you should try.

1. Guacamole


Avocados are a great summer fruit and guacamole is a wonderful summer appetizer. It can be paired with chips or piled high into burritos and tacos. There is nothing better than this tasty dip at a barbecue or party. The best part is that it is super easy to make and only requires a few minutes for preparation.


2. California Grilled Veggie Sandwich


Nothing makes it feel more like summer than vegetables on a grill. They are already tasty when they come off the grill. However, if you add a bit of artisan bread and cheese, you can create perfection!  While this sandwich recipe takes a little longer than the guacamole, the skills required are still pretty basic. So have no fear!


3. Beautiful Berry Pie Recipe


The sweetness of raspberries always bring me back to the days of my childhood. I remember spending summer days in a garden and stashing berries into my mouth as fast as I could pick them. Those were the good old days when the sun didn’t go down until it was late and I spent the whole day in a bathing suit. This berry pie is sure to be a time warp back to those sweet memories. It also seems to be pretty easy to make, so again, have no fear.
